Pop It Ups Designer Challenge Day 2

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the 2nd day of the  Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for Pop It Ups. For my second project, I made a little more challenging project.  I created an easel card topped gift box. The box was made to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. In this case, I have made it into a wedding gift.

Here is the front of the card/box

Here is Poppy. I have used the Props 1 die set to create a bride and groom. The background scroll work is the coordinating frame edge from the Square with Circle Accordion card.
When the card is placed in the easel position... it is held in place by an ECD Congratulations die cut which I have cut and adhered together multiple time to create a thickness to act as a stopper.

Karen Burniston August Designer Challenge Day 1

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the start of a new Karen Burniston Designer Challenger for Pop It Ups. This months task is to use one of the character dies, Hoppy, Poppy, or Chilly.

For my first project, I have designed a simple treat/ gift bag. This is easy to replicate for birthdays, thank yous, and anything else you can think of.

Here is Hoppy sitting on a lily pad with a gift in hand. I also tried to make the design as unisex as possible. Using the Props 1 dies, you can easily alter this to be more feminine or masculine.

Double Spiral Circle Pull Card

Hello my crafty friends. Recently I had the pleasure of teaching a private class to a group of wonderful ladies.  For this class, one of the cards made is a double Spiral Circle Pull card. In creating the card, I still wanted to make use of the fab tabs that will keep the card closed until that card is opened.

Here is the front of the card.

I have combined that pull card with the Clock and Gears accessory die. The clock face has been cut using adhesive cork from Canvas Corp. The paper is from Graphic 45

When you pull the left flap open, here is what it looks like....

The solid circle in the Clock and Gears set is a perfect fit for the circle flip of the card. NO MEASURING REQUIRED!!! Love love love that feature of Karen's designs.

Then when you open the right flap, another message is revealed.

The sentiment is cut with an ECD die and mounted on the solid circle from the Clock and Gears accessory die.

The ladies had such a blast making this card.

Happy Birthday to my little man!!!

Hello my crafty friends! My little man turned 5 last week and we celebrated over the weekend. I had to wait until now to share his birthday card.

I used the recently released Spiral Circle Pull Card die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Here is his birthday card.

On the front of the card I used the newly released Rubber Ducky die from ECD.

When the card is opened, his birthday message is revealed.

I have used the ECD Happy Birthday die. For the number 5 I have used the negative space from the Clock and Gears accessory die.
