Pop It Ups December challenge

Howdy my crafty peeps!  Today is the start of a brand new Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for Pop It Ups. This month we were each given a month and a challenged to make a project that relates to that month. For my first card, I have used Karen's tutorial on using your Accordion Card dies in a landscape format.

My month is June. As we all know, that is a major graduation month. So I chose to do a Grad card.

Here is the card opened up

I have used the Oval Accordion Card die with the coordinating Oval Flourish Frame Edges. If you would like to see a video of Karen's technique you can find it here.

Happy Birthday!

Hello my crafty friends. I know, I have been quiet. But I have been crafting. I wanted to share with you a card that I made for one of my Co-workers. She loves purple and butterflies. When I decided to make her card, I knew just which die to use.

For this card, I used that new seamless background tutorial posted by the fabulous Karen Burniston. If you would like to watch the tutorial yourself, you can see it here.

I used the Butterfly Pivot die with it accessories. For the body, I decorated with Elizabeth Craft Designs Glitter Dots.

For the inside I used the Katie Label Accordion Card die accessories for the sentiment. We needed plenty of room for birthday wishes from the rest of my co-workers.

And the color is.... White

Woohoo! Hello my crafty peeps!  Today is the start of a brand new Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for Pop It Ups. We were challenged with making a monochromatic card in either Red, White or blue. For this challenge I  chose white for an elegant birthday card.

Here is the front of the card.

The background was embossed using the Trendy Tiles 2 embossing folder. The leaves are from the Rose and Daisy Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. The flowers are from the Spiral Circle pull card. I rolled the spiral using a quilling tool and voila, fabulous roses.

On the inside, I have again embossed with the Trendy Tiles 2 folder. I have used the Happy Birthday Pop Up for the sentiment. The Katie Label Pivot card accessory dies make the perfect spot for a little note.

Happy Birthday to my hubby!

Today my fantastic husband turns 36! So to celebrate I made him a card using the fabulous new Karen Burniston Pop It Ups dies.

A few new dies were released at the Collins event and are now available for purchase. This is my take on a couple of them.

For this card I used the new Happy Birthday Pop Up die and the new Honey The Bear character die. The bear was cut from the black velvet adhesive sheets available at Elizabeth Craft Designs so he is nice and fuzzy.

Pop It Ups Designer Challenge Day 2

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the 2nd day of the  Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for Pop It Ups. For my second project, I made a little more challenging project.  I created an easel card topped gift box. The box was made to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. In this case, I have made it into a wedding gift.

Here is the front of the card/box

Here is Poppy. I have used the Props 1 die set to create a bride and groom. The background scroll work is the coordinating frame edge from the Square with Circle Accordion card.
When the card is placed in the easel position... it is held in place by an ECD Congratulations die cut which I have cut and adhered together multiple time to create a thickness to act as a stopper.

Karen Burniston August Designer Challenge Day 1

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the start of a new Karen Burniston Designer Challenger for Pop It Ups. This months task is to use one of the character dies, Hoppy, Poppy, or Chilly.

For my first project, I have designed a simple treat/ gift bag. This is easy to replicate for birthdays, thank yous, and anything else you can think of.

Here is Hoppy sitting on a lily pad with a gift in hand. I also tried to make the design as unisex as possible. Using the Props 1 dies, you can easily alter this to be more feminine or masculine.
