All I want for Christmas!!

Hello my crafty friends.  I am here today with the first of the December Designers Challenges.

The challenge is:
"All I want for Christmas" - use your all-time favorite Pop it Ups die (the one you would want for Christmas if you didn't already own it) for a holiday card.

For the front of my card, I used the Label and Circles die with the largest tree from the Evergreen Pivot card die.

For the inside of my card I have used my new favorite, the Anita Frames Pop Up die. On the left side, I have used the smallest tree from there Evergreen Pivot. The sentiment is from the Holiday clear stamp set.

How Charming!

Welcome back my crafty friends.  I am here today with the second of the November Designers Challenge.

The challenge theme was set by Karen Aiken and it is:
"Charmed, I'm sure!" - use any of the charm dies for a card of any theme.

For my card, I used the Rectangle Pull Card die. I have used that Holiday Charms die set. The sentiment comes from the Merry Christmas Pop Up die set.

By adding the use of coordinating dies from the Rectangle Accordion die set, I was able to create a window in the card for the charm to hang from. The tree charm was decorated with glitter dots from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Hat Attack!

Hello my crafty friends.  I am here today with the first of the November Designers Challenge and we are have a mad hatter of a time.

The challenge is:
"Hat Attack" - there are 8 different hat choices in the Props/Charms/Anita sets - use one (or more) on a card. It's all about the hats!

For the front of my card, I styled Chilly with the Santa Hat from the Props 5 dies set. He is riding in a sleigh from the Sleigh Gift Card Holder. The presents from the Christmas Charms and the Pine Tree Pivot card die.

For the inside of the card, I used Honey the Bear and styled him also in the Santa Hat. With a snip snip here, and a snip snip there, the hat easily converts to a toboggan. The inside of the card also uses the Anita Frame,  Merry & Bright clear stamp set and the candy cane accessory from Jolly the mouse.

Boy Oh Boy

Hi my crafty friends. It is time for part 2 for the Designer Challenge for the month of October.  This time around the challenge was set by me! :)   Being the mother of 3 boys, I chose : Boy Oh Boy, think rough and tumble, boys will be boys, masculine or manly - no girls allowed!

For my card, I used the Handing Charm Pull Tab Die. I paired it up with the Clock and Gears die along with the Steampunk Charms Die set. For the background paper, I used the Stage It Stencils - Gears.

Here is the card with the tab pulled to reveal the stamped sentiment from the Steampunk Clear Stamp Set.

Here is another view of the card.

ROYGBIV! Its a rainbow challenge

Hello my crafty friends.  I am here today with the first of the October Designers Challenge and it is a rainbow of crafty fun.

The challenge is:
"ROYGBIV" - It's the monochromatic challenge but we get to  pick a color from any of the colors of the rainbow.  We had to make a card featuring predominantly Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo or Violet.

For my color, I chose Blue... kinda fitting since I have three boys.

The front of my card uses the new Labels and Circles and the Baby clear stamp set.  The patterned papers were from Pebbles Special Delivery paper line.

For the inside of my card, I used the Anita Frame Pop Up Die to create the inside of my card. I also used the Stripe/Plaid stencil with some ECD double sided adhesive to create the plaid patterned paper. The paper uses a combination of mixing the stencil technique with the glitter plaid technique that Els posted a video of recently. I have added the onsie from the Baby Charms die set to the left side of my pop up.  The sentiment is also from the Baby clear stamp set.

Make sure that you stop by and check out what the other team members created for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!!!

Hey there my crafty peeps!  It is time for part 2 of the Karen Burniston Designers challenge. This time the challenge was set by Caz Counsell - "Be Inspired" - Take inspiration from a fellow teammate for a card or technique of any theme!

For my card, is was inspired by a card made by Kelly Booth last December using the Cup Pop Stand die

I used the Hanging Charm Pull Tab card die to add movement to my shaker.

It's a Halloween Party

Hello my crafty friends!
It is time for the 1st Designers Challenge for the month of September. For this challenge, Karen has chosen:  Halloween" - Cute or creepy - you decide! For my project, I chose to do a little bit of both.

I decided to make Halloween Party decor for my project. Treat bags, treat boxes, paper straws, and a light up graveyard centerpiece make up my project.

Here is a close up of the graveyard. The house was made using the Holiday Decorator House die. I decided the make the house taller by stopping the cutting from going all the way to the end and then shifting the die up. And Hoppy's cauldron is made using the Bathtub Pop Stand and a circle die. I have also extended the Iron Fence all of the way around the spooky scene.

Here is a close up of the paper straws and treat bags.

Here is a close up of the treat boxes.

I hope this inspires you with some Halloween party decoration ideas.
