Playing with acetate

Happy Wednesday!  Today I have another image from La-La Land Crafts. Kimono Marci is a digital image that I have purchased. I colored her face with Copic Markers.

Next I stamped an image in Rich Cocoa Momento ink. I wanted it to appear as a printed kimono.

Here is the complete coloring. The white of her Kimono has been embellished with Stickles.

Next I cut at window into my cardstock layers. I stamped an image onto acetate and  backed it to the window.  In the background I layer a diecut made with my cricut "Pagoda" cartridge. I also adhered another diecut to the front of the card. The sentiment is provided with the stamp.

 Here is the completed card.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Art Journal

It is the weekend!!  So I have had a lot of crafting projects lately. How am I going to show them to people that do not do the blog thing? We I decided to start an art journal.

To get started I stamped and white embossed  "My Crafty Stuff" using letters from Inkadinkado and American crafts. Next I stamped image on the page in Archival Ink from Ranger. Finally I inked areas with the Spring and Summer Distress Inks from Ranger.

I pulled out a piece of stencil material from my stash and my Sizzix Sizzlits and went to work creating a stencil.

I sponged over the stencil with the Distress Ink's again giving a two tone effect. I embellished with stickers from Studio 112. Finally I lightly spritzed the page with Perfect Pearls Mist. And here is the final project.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am submitting this to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge :  http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2012/07/challenge-spritz-spray-or-stencil.html

Abra Kadabra

Happy Friday! The project that I have made today is for a little boys birthday. I have used the Magician Luka stamp from La-La Land Crafts. I have also printed an image for curtains on red cardstock from a downloadable image at PBSKIDS.ORG.

Luka has been colored with alcohol markers and afterwards fussy cut.

The curtain folds were colored with Memento marker in Rhubarb Stalk. The curtains were popped at 1/8 with foam squares. A stage was created by scoring black cardstock at 1/8 and folded and glued to the side of foam squares. The squares were attached in place to attach the stage to the card front. Luka has also been popped with 1/16 foam dots.

Here is the final card. The inside of the card says "Wishing you a very magical birthday".

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy and safe weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th everyone. I decided to make a card today because, well, I really wanted to try out another La-La Land Crafts stamp. I have been on a card making frenzy these past couple of weeks. All of these cards will be sent to Operation Write Home for our troops.

Now to the nitty gritty of this card... Here are some of the supplies used to create this card.

The Image was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image with alcohol markers. The colors used were:
Jeans:  Bic Mark-It, Oceanview Blue and Blue Skies Blue
           Copic B21
           Spectrum Noir TB1, TB5 and TB6
Shirt:   Bic Mark-It  Rambunctious Red
           Copic R29
           Spectrum Noir DR1
Skin:   Copic E000,E00, and E11
Hair:   Bic Mark-It Moonstone Yellow
          Copic Y11
          Spectrum Noir GB5,CT4,CT3
Shoes: Bic Cloud Nine Grey, Stone Grey and Tuxedo Black
           Copic C1

Next I fussy cut Luka out and stamped the heart again on paper from My Minds Eye, Lime Twist. The heart was then cut out and paper pieced

The bricks for the brick was were cut from a Sizzix die and the grass cut from a Cricut cartridge. The background paper is from My Minds Eye, Lime Twist. The sentiment is from Fiskars and is stamped in Barn Door by Ranger.

I hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by.
