Stretch it Oout

Hello my crafty friends!

It is time for  our second Pop It Ups Designer Challenge for the month of July. The second challenge for the month is issued by a Designers Challenge team member. This month the challenge has been issued by Kelly Booth.

And the challenge is .....

"Stretch it out!" - use any of the Accordion dies for a project of any theme.

Here is the card that I made for the challenge. I have used the Oval Accordion Card die featuring Jinks the Monkey. Jinks is hanging from a branch from the All Season's Tree.  I have added decoration to the pages with the Bananas Embossing Folder and Oval Dots Frame Edges. The sentiments are from the Cheeky Monkey clear stamp set.

Make sure you stop by and check out the projects from the other designers today. Do not forget to check out Karen's blog tomorrow to see her project for the challenge.

Thanks a Latte!

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I am sharing a card using the Gift Card Accordion die from the Pop It Ups line at Elizabeth Craft Designs

With the card closed, you can see Lucky The Rabbit holding a coffee cup. The cup was made by trimming the pot accessory from Honey The Bear.

When the card is open, you can see the slot for a gift card. Such a fun way to give a gift card.

Up Up and Away

It is time for another Designer's Challenge for Karen Burniston's Pop It Ups. Starting this month and going forward, we will have two challenges a month. The 2nd Tuesday of the month is a theme picked by Karen and the 4th  Tuesday is a theme picked by one of the Designers Challenge team members. The theme for first July is "Up".  We are free to interpret the theme however we choose with cards featuring the sky.

For my card, I was inspired by the movie UP. I created a sky background using my Distress Inks. I used balloon from the Spiral Circle Pull Card. The card is long and fits in a standard letter envelope.

I love the Hanging Charm Pull Card. I elongated the pull mechanism making it possible to have a double pull Card.

Happy Birthday Ms. Stephanie!

Hello my crafty friends!

Ever since I watched Karen's video on the Cascading Tag Card, I could not wait to try it. So when the time came to make a card for my bestie's birthday, I knew this would be the perfect technique.

Here is the front of the card. I measures 3" X 8.5" and fits in a standard letter envelope. The end was cut using the Tags & More 1 by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is the card opened up.

The card is so long, I needed to take photos in sections the capture it all. Here is the left side of the card. The background paper totally reminds me of a 50's wallpaper.

Here is the left side of the card. The jukebox is a die from Sizzix. The "Happy Birthday" is a sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well. The guitar is an embellishment from the ephemera pack that coordinates with the paper pack I used from DCWV.

Here is the video by Karen on the Cascading Tag card.
