Boy Oh Boy

Hi my crafty friends. It is time for part 2 for the Designer Challenge for the month of October.  This time around the challenge was set by me! :)   Being the mother of 3 boys, I chose : Boy Oh Boy, think rough and tumble, boys will be boys, masculine or manly - no girls allowed!

For my card, I used the Handing Charm Pull Tab Die. I paired it up with the Clock and Gears die along with the Steampunk Charms Die set. For the background paper, I used the Stage It Stencils - Gears.

Here is the card with the tab pulled to reveal the stamped sentiment from the Steampunk Clear Stamp Set.

Here is another view of the card.

Stage It!!!

Good Evening my crafty friends.

I am sharing with you today a project for this month's Designers Challenge. The theme this month is: Stage It. We are to create a project using the Stage It Stencils from the Pop It Ups line from Elizabeth Craft Designs and Karen Burniston.

For my project, I decided to make an altered memory book. the book is a paper mache book from a craft store. (I have recently spotted some at Tuesday Morning as well)

Here is what the book looked like at the the start.

Here is the book in progress. You can see the new Gears stencil using some of the Antique Gold glitter from ECD mixed with some Transparent Texture Paste from Ranger. I have also used some Distress Paint and the Mediallion Stencil, as well as the Chocolate glitter and the Flourish stencil.

Here is the completed cover. I have used gears from the Clock and Gears die and the New Steampunk Charms. The photo frame is from the Hanging Charm Pull Card Die.  I have also incorporated the a foil diecut from the Chicken Wire Die and some chains from the ECD Chains die set.

Here is a closer look at the front of the cover.

I decided to also alter the spine of the book. I created some faux leather from chipboard and used the Trendy Tiles embossing folder to complete the look.

Karen Burniston October Designers challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the start of a new Karen Burniston Designer Challenger for Pop It Ups. This months challenge is to make it masculine!

For my first project, I have used the Spiral Circle Pull Card die.

The image is from Art Impression and is on an Action Wobble.

When the card is opened, you can see the message is revealed.  There are so many ways to use this die. Was super simple to make.

Thanks for stopping by.
