It's challenge time!

Hello my crafty peeps! Well, my term on the Spectrum Noir DT is over. I loved being a part of the team and wish them well.
As one door closes, another one opens. And with that said, I am so excited to announce that I am now on the Simply Betty Stamps design team. SQUEAL!
Here is my very first project using Christian.  He has been colored up with my Copic markers.

The challenge for this month is to use lace on your project. Super challenging to me on a male image.

Be sure to check out the projects of the other design team members here

Thanks for stopping by.

The Goddess Challenge

Hello everyone!

Today The Stamping Chef and Simply Betty Stamps have teamed up again for another challenge for the Goddess in you!

Tamara and Betty have designed images for you to use in the challenge. Both images are $1.00 a piece for 24 hours after that it's regular price but you can still enter the challenge! A winner will be chosen for each image from each stamp company to receive a $10.00 gift certificate from each store.  WHOOHOO!!!

Nefertiti can be found here : The Stamping Chef
Persephone can be found here: Simply B Stamps

Here are my sample projects using both images.

The first is Nefertiti (ca. 1370 BC – ca. 1330 BC), the Great Royal Wife (chief consort) of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. With her husband, they reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history.

I have colored her up with my Next Generation Spectrum Noir markers. The background is from Make It Crafty and colored with Spectrum Noir markers as well.

Colors used:
Skin: TN3,TN5, TN6, TN7
Head dress/ Necklace: TB6, TB8, TB9, JG1, JG6, DR3, DR5, DR7, GB4, GB6, GB7
Dress: :BG3, BG1, Blender, TB9, TB6
Background:TN2,TN3, TN5, TN1, IB1, Blender

Next up is Persephone, the daughter of Zeus and the harvest-goddess Demeter, and queen of the underworld. The beautiful Persephone lived a peaceful life until Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, fell in love with her.  She was innocently picking flowers with some nymphs in a field when Hades came to abduct her, bursting through a cleft in the earth. Finally, Zeus forced Hades to return Persephone. It was a rule of the Fates that whoever consumed food or drink in the Underworld was doomed to spend eternity there. Before Persephone was released, Hades tricked her into eating pomegranate seeds which forced her to return to the underworld for a period each year.

I have colored her up with my Next Generation Spectrum Noir markers as well.

Colors used:
Hair: TN3,TN5, TN7, TN9, EB4
Skin: FS9, FS3, FS7, CR1, CR3, DR6
Dress: IG6, IG8, IG10
Shoes: DR3

So there you have it...two awesome images for just $1.00 to participate and win $10 gift certificate to either store depending on which one you win! Pretty awesome huh?

Of course there is a catch...you only have 24 hours to get them at the $1.00 price! They will be at normal pricing as of Tuesday Nov. 26th at 12:00 AM PST! ( 9:00 AM CET)

You will have until December 8 to upload your projects for these two cuties in blue Inky Linky Froggie on the SBS Blog!

We cannot wait to see what you create with this fun images!

Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Cigar Box

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing with you an altered cigar box that I made for a swap. I had a blast making it.

Here is the box in its original condition from the cigar shop in my area

Here I have altered some flowed and leaves with my Spectrum Noir markers and Silks Acrylic Glaze

Here is the top of the box in its finished form. The image was a gift from Simply Betty Stamps. I have colored her up with my Spectrum Noir markers

Here is a side view of the box. I did drill a knob into the box for ease of opening it. The fence is a Martha Stewart punch. On the side I did paint the red trim pieces black after removing them. I have re-adhered the trim pieces back onto the project which you can barely see in this picture.

Here is the easel card open on stop.

I did line the inside of the box with paper to finish it off.

 Thanks for stopping by!
