Karen Burniston July Designer challenge

Hello my crafty friends! It is time for a new Designer Challenge. This month the theme is Christmas In July. For my first card of the challenge, I used the Holiday House decorator die as well as a few others.

Here is a look at the front of the card.

Here us have used acetate to expose the inside of the card. You can see the House  and sme snowy hills made with the new Outdoor Edges die.

Here is a look inside....

Here you can see that I used the House Pivot card die. Instead of the house portion, I made a double fence. Inside the fence is a tree using the new Evergreen Pivot card die. The evergreen tree was cut using some honey pop paper.

Make sure that you check out the cards made by the other designers for this fun challenge.

Hoppy Birthday!

Happy Fourth everyone! Recently I shared a card using the new Lorna Label Pop It Ups die (available mid-July). Well, what happens when you make a double Lorna Label cut?? Perfect floating floor with no work involved!

Here I have doubled the Lorna Label. To do this, instead of opening the card flat and placing the die in the crease, you leave the card closed, this way it cuts both panels at one time. Once it was cut, I opened the card flat and used the slot dies from the Lucy Label Pop It Up to make the slots. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! The balloon are on strips of project cover from my local office supply store. The balloons are an accessory die included in the new Spiral Circle Pull Card die (available mid-July). Finally, there is Hoppy also available mid-July.

Make sure you contact your local scrapbook store so that they can pre-order your set today!

Pop It up Sneak peeks part 2

Hello my crafty friends! We have shown you sneak peeks of the new Pop It Ups Collection. Guess what ???? That was not everything!  There are even more amazing designs being released. Here is one that was made using the new Lorna Label Pop Up die.

I have glittered Chilly with Elizabeth Craft Designs Silk Microfine Glitter. The Lorna Label has so much room to add images and scenes. Here I have stamped the ice on acetate and covered in glossy accents. I have also combines the Agatha Edges as well as the snowflake from the All Seasons tree. Have you spotted another new die? The other snowflakes are from the new Circle Pull card die.

The Stamping Chef Challenge

Hello everyone! Well a new weekly challenge has begun at The Stamping Chef.  The current challenge is Anything Goes!

For this project I used the new Katie Label Accordion die (available in mid-July).  I have colored up an image called Alyce( Special Celebration Image). This cute little image has been colored up with my next generation Spectrum Noir markers. And here is my finished card ...

Here is a close up of the image. She was such a blast to color up.

The colors used:
Hair: GT1 GT2, GT3, BT4
Skin: FS2, FS5, FS9
Purple: HB1, HB2, HB3, LV3
Blue:IB1, IB2, IB3, BT7

I love using the Pop It Ups dies for my cards. It is a fast and fun way to add movement to your projects. On this card I added the scalloped edge fancy frame to each of the inside sides.  I used the included accessory dies to make background and frames for my sentiment. The sentiment was cut using an Elizabeth Craft Designs Die.
I hope that this inspires you to join in on the fun here!

More Sneak Peeks at the New Pop It Ups Summer Release

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing more of the new Pop It Ups dies that will be shipping in July. I totally LOVE the new character dies! Yesterday I shared a card using Hoppy. Today I would like to introduce you to Poppy.

I have used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Microfine Glitter for these. I also mixed the new Katie Label Accordion with the Oval Accordion die. One the Katie Label I have added the new Katie Stars Frame Edges. The blacks of the eyes on Poppy is the negative space from some ECD peel off stickers.

Here is the open view of my card.
