Harry and Ron Sweater Christmas Cards

 Howdy my crafty peeps!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card that I made for a Harry Potter themed exchange. For this card, I used some older dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. This Winter Sweater Die from Joset is still one of my favorite dies. I can be made to look like a normal sweater or an "ugly" sweater. I this case, I made them with inspiration of the sweaters that Ron's mum made for Harry and Ron.  For the sentiment, I used dies from an older Merry Christmas and Happy New Year die sets.

For the intended receipients, one likes Ravenclaw and the other likes Hufflepuff. I made sure to use coordinating background papers for each house and then sealed the envelopes with coordinating stickers.  I have also used a stamp from my stash to stamp Hogwarts on the envelope.

Farm Animal Christmas Card

 Howdy my crafty peeps!

Today I am sharing a little more Christmas inspiration.  This time, I am using dies from KB Riley LLC and created a slimline card.  For the front of the card, I kept it pretty simple. I have used the Merry Christmas and Merry Christmas Shadow dies.

Here is the inside of the card. I have used the new Little Labels Pop-Up die set for my pop up mechanism. The characters used are from the Chicken, Pig, and Lamb die set along with the Cow and Goat Die set. In the hands of the lamb and goat, I have used elements from the Holiday Charms die set. I have also used the gnome hats which I have trimmed down to fit the height of my slim line card.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. It was cut using letters from the Alphabet die set.

Gingerbread Train

 Howdy my crafty peeps!

Today I am sharing a little more Christmas inspiration. As soon as I saw this set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I knew I wanted to make a gingerbread train.  Here is the front of the card.  I used the Dotted Background die which I inked with Distress Inks before cutting. In the holes that were cut out, I heat embossed them with Sparkle and Puff from Stampendous. For the train itself, I used kraft cardstock with a bit of inking. I really wanted the effect of gumdrops on the train so I added some glossy accents with Tim Holtz Rock Candy glitter. This combination make for awesome sugary objects. The sprinkles were cut with different colors of glitter cardstock. The engine comes with peppermint wheels. I wanted to carry that theme throughout the train, so I added the small wheel to the train cars. For the "icing" on the train, I once again heat embossed with Sparkle and Puff.

With the "sweet" front of the card, I used a simple sentiment to compliment the front of the card.

A Snowy Scene

 Howdy my crafty peeps!

Today I am sharing one of my recent card makes.  For this card, I have decided to go with a snowy scene. Here is the front of the card. This card features dies from KB Riley. I have used the Merry Christmas Die along with it shadow layer. I have also used the Long Nature Edges and some elements from the Outdoor Scene dies.

On the inside of the card, I have used the Garden Bench Pop-up and the Street Lantern Pop-up dies. For a place to write a message, I have used the new Labels- Crosshatch die set. What is special about the inside is the fact that it lights up. I have used the ED Lights in each of the lamp posts.

Here is the card all lit up. So much fun!
