Karen Burniston August Designer Challenge Day 1

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the start of a new Karen Burniston Designer Challenger for Pop It Ups. This months task is to use one of the character dies, Hoppy, Poppy, or Chilly.

For my first project, I have designed a simple treat/ gift bag. This is easy to replicate for birthdays, thank yous, and anything else you can think of.

Here is Hoppy sitting on a lily pad with a gift in hand. I also tried to make the design as unisex as possible. Using the Props 1 dies, you can easily alter this to be more feminine or masculine.

Here are some of the supplies used:

Hoppy Birthday!

Happy Fourth everyone! Recently I shared a card using the new Lorna Label Pop It Ups die (available mid-July). Well, what happens when you make a double Lorna Label cut?? Perfect floating floor with no work involved!

Here I have doubled the Lorna Label. To do this, instead of opening the card flat and placing the die in the crease, you leave the card closed, this way it cuts both panels at one time. Once it was cut, I opened the card flat and used the slot dies from the Lucy Label Pop It Up to make the slots. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! The balloon are on strips of project cover from my local office supply store. The balloons are an accessory die included in the new Spiral Circle Pull Card die (available mid-July). Finally, there is Hoppy also available mid-July.

Make sure you contact your local scrapbook store so that they can pre-order your set today!

Pop It Ups Summer Release -- Sneak Peek!

Hello everyone! Last night Karen Burniston started sharing sneak peeks of her new upcoming release for Pop It Ups. I absolutely love the Pop It Ups collection and this new release is just tops.

Here is one of my sample cards of the new dies. This is hoppy on the Ring Accordion Album die.

Here is a view of the card opened. For the lily pad, I used the oval from the new Katie Label Accordion die.

Make sure you check out Karen's post here.
