Hat Attack!

Hello my crafty friends.  I am here today with the first of the November Designers Challenge and we are have a mad hatter of a time.

The challenge is:
"Hat Attack" - there are 8 different hat choices in the Props/Charms/Anita sets - use one (or more) on a card. It's all about the hats!

For the front of my card, I styled Chilly with the Santa Hat from the Props 5 dies set. He is riding in a sleigh from the Sleigh Gift Card Holder. The presents from the Christmas Charms and the Pine Tree Pivot card die.

For the inside of the card, I used Honey the Bear and styled him also in the Santa Hat. With a snip snip here, and a snip snip there, the hat easily converts to a toboggan. The inside of the card also uses the Anita Frame,  Merry & Bright clear stamp set and the candy cane accessory from Jolly the mouse.

Ho Ho Ho Honey

Hello my crafty friends!  It is time for another Designers Challenge for Pop It Ups.

This months challenge is : Characters in Costume - We've seen amazing Character transformations (Steampunk Poppy, Cocoa Unicorn, Cocoa Zebra, Rudy White Stag, Vampire Hoppy, Honey Pooh, Hoppy Tree Frog, Reindeer Brownie, Sleeping Dutch, Monster Mouse, etc.) and now it's time to show off your costuming skills to transform a Character.

For my card, I chose Honey the Bear and transformed him into Santa Honey.

Here is the front of my card closed. I have used the Ring Accordion die and Honey has been decked out using the Props 5 set. I love those glasses! I cut Honey in red and white and layered the pieces together to form the suit. Around the frame I have added snow flakes from the All Seasons Tree die set.

Here is the card opened. I have added the scallop frame accessory that comes with the Ring Accordion card. I have added some snowflakes from the Sleigh Gift Card Pop Up die. The stamp is from the Merry and Bright stamp set. I loved that you can bend the stamp to curve the sentiment.

Make sure you stop by and check our all of the design team cards.

Make 'em Laugh Day 2

Ok my crafty friends, it is day 2 of the  Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for Pop It Ups. We were challenged with making a funny card.

I decided to follow Karen's wonderful technique and turned Honey into a Panda. I simply love how cute the Panda is. I you would like step by step instruction just watch Karen's YouTube tutorial here.

Here is the card in a closed state. I love having the tabs to keep the card closed.  I have used the Circle Pull Card with some additional accessories from the Accordion Circle and the Lorna Label Pop Up die.  The star of the show is Honey!

When the card is open I have used a fun stamp from Pink and Main called Pandamonium. The background paper was also used in this set.

Here are some of the supplies used:

Happy Birthday to my hubby!

Today my fantastic husband turns 36! So to celebrate I made him a card using the fabulous new Karen Burniston Pop It Ups dies.

A few new dies were released at the Collins event and are now available for purchase. This is my take on a couple of them.

For this card I used the new Happy Birthday Pop Up die and the new Honey The Bear character die. The bear was cut from the black velvet adhesive sheets available at Elizabeth Craft Designs so he is nice and fuzzy.

Supplies used:

Sweet Carrots!
