Blast off!

Howdy my crafty peeps!

Just stopping by to share my card for this month's Designers Challenge. This month, we were challenged with using the Train Pivot Panels or the Rocket Pop-up for a card of any theme.

For my card, I went with an outer space theme. Here is the front of my card. I have used the "crater" piece from the Rocket Pop-Up to create the planet that my alien is blasting off from. I love the stencil feature in the die to help create the craters. I used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Inks on grey cardstock. The spaceship and alien are from the Space Charms die set.

Here is the inside of the card. I have added the Enjoy the Ride die set and you can see the rocket pops up into the air taking flight.

Here is a close up of the rocket. I have used 3 flames to create the flame burst out of the end of the rocket. The flames were cut with yellow cardstock and inked with Wild Honey and Barn Door Distress Inks.

Here you can see the card closes flat for mailing.

Thanks for stopping by!

Choo Choo

Howdy my crafty peeps!

Just stopping by to share a little crafty inspiration. We all know that boy cards can be a bit challenging, however, using the new Train Pivot Panel die from Karen Burniston is the solution.

Here is the front of my card. I have used the Train from the Train Pivot Panel die along with elements from the Train Elements die sets.

Here is the inside of the card. I have added use the Train Pivot Panel die with the Twist Panel Pop up die set. The clouds/smoke were made using the Outdoor Scene die set. I have continued theme from the front of the card. I have also added the Happy Birthday and the panel pieces using the Rectangles - Crosshatch die sets.

Avengers Assemble

Howdy my crafty peeps!

Just stopping by to share a card that I made for my little mans birthday. It is hard to see him getting older. But with getting older also comes more "big boy" cards. For this birthday, I have decided to go with an Avengers theme using the Snowman Twist Circle Pop-Up.  The card is 5x7.

Here is the card opened up. I have added the Happy Birthday die inside as well.

Here you can see the mechanism inside spin down which allows the card to lay flat for mailing. I did make sure that my images did not have any catch points by inlaying pieces so that they were smooth.

Here is close ups of some of the images used in today's card. I do have the all of the circular images on the dotted accessory circle included in the Snowman Twist Circle Pop-Up.

And the sneaks go on ....

Howdy my crafty peeps!  I am back sharing another card from the new release from Karen Burniston.

For this card, I used the Triple Flip die set. Instead of using the rectangles in the set, I have used the photo frame from the Photo Collage die set. I have also added details from the Space Charms die set.

Here is the card flipped open. I have added the a sentiment from Word Set 2.

A Monster Bash

Hello my crafty friends!

The week the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge team is doing a blog hop with Brutus Monroe. You should have arrived here from Kelly Booth's blog.
For my card, I used the  Twist Panel Pop Up die to create a monstrous birthday card for my little man who turns 6 tomorrow.

Here is the front of my card. I made the patterned paper using the Monster Party stamp set by Brutus Monroe. I have also included a sneak peek of the newly released Rectangles Crosshatch die set

Here is the inside of the card with the Twist Panel Pop Up. The images were colored using Copic markers.

Here is a close up of the panels

And as you can see in this picture, the card still closes flat for mailing.

The Twist Panel Pop-Up is a very univeral Pop-Up card, and since I used for my card, that is what I'm offering for a PRIZE! Simply leave me a comment telling me why you like my card and be sure your email address is valid so I can contact you if you win. I will use Random.org to choose a random number from the comments and will draw for the Twist Panel Pop-Up Prize on Thursday May 24th.

Make sure that you stop by and check all of the other blogs that are hopping along. Your next stop on the hop would be back at Karen Burniston's Blog if you started hopping with me.

Hip To Be Square!

Howdy my crafty peeps!

It is time for another  Karen Burniston designer challenge. This month our theme is "Hip to Be Square"!

I made my card with a building blocks theme... you know, those square piece of plastic landmines that you step on in your kids room in the middle of the night in bare feet. Being the mother of three little boys, I have had many of those moments. Sometimes it is like a minefield in there.

For my card, I used the Spinner Square Pop-Up.

As you can see, the card lies flat in the closed position.

When you open it up, the spinner square rotates the sentiment out into view.

Here is the card completely opened up.

Be sure to stop by and check out what the other designers have come up with for the challenge.
