Pretty Gift Card Presentation

Howdy my crafty peeps!

I am back with another Christmas idea. We all know how impersonal gift cards can be. For my project, I have created a card the allows for placement of a gift card inside. It is a way of making an impersonal gift, personal.

Here is the front of my card.

Here is the inside of the card.

Here is a closer view of the inside. You can always place a little note under the gift card so that when the card is removed, there is still a beautiful, handmade card.

Tags A Lot

Howdy my crafty peeps!

Just wanted to share a crafty project with you. I know I have said before how much I love Karen's dies and that they mix so well together. And today's post is no exceptions. For this project I used my all time favorite die, the Tag Book Pop-Up but this time, it is not a card.

The holidays will soon be approaching and I wanted to make some gift tags for some of the gifts that people will be receiving this holiday season. Here are five tags created using the largest tag die from the set. I have all featured a different character on each one.  Here are the tags ....

Here are some close up photos of the tags, each character is sporting a Santa hat and a wreath. For the bows on the wreathes, I used the bow accessory die for the cake Pop-Up. I have also added "berries" using a red Glaze pen.

It's All About the Trees

Howdy my craft peeps!  It is time for another Karen Burniston Designers Challenge. This month the theme is  Trees! We were challenged with making a card that incorporates a Christmas tree.

Here is the front of my card. The card is a standard A2 card. I have used the largest of the Rectangles - Crosshatch die set to cut the background layer.

Here is the inside of my card. I have used the Evergreen Pivot Panels die on the inside. I have cut trees using coordinating glitter papers. I have also cut the background layers with the same Rectangles - Crosshatch die set. I have added a place to sign the card using the same die set.

Make sure to stop by and see what the other designers have created for this month's challenge.

Happy Fall Y'all

Howdy my crafty peeps!  It is time for a new Karen Burniston Designers Challenge. This month, the theme is fall!

I totally love fall colors. For my project, I decided to used the Frame Pull Pop-Up, Woodland Animals, and Autumn Elements dies to make a fall themed thank you card. I have also added the largest rectangle from the Crosshatch-Rectangles die.  Here is the closed card.

Here is the card opened after the tab is pulled. I used the Thank You die on the inside and colored with Distress Inks to make an ombre greeting.  I have also added more of the Autumn Elements die cuts as well.

Birthday Explosion

Hello my crafty peeps!

Just stopping by today to share my latest card. My card today features the new Explosion Pop-Up die.

Here is the front of my card. I used the Rectangles-Crosshatch to make my card panel. Using the balloon die from the Explosion Pop-Up. I die cut multiple balloons out of various colors of cardstock and used the stencil feature to add the highlight with a white gel pen. I also die cut balloons out of my panel leaving negative space. Once that was done, I adhered the piece to my card base and then placed the balloons back in the negative space. I have also layers the new Celebrate die to the front of my card.

Here is the inside of my card.  I have used the explosion part of the die set to cut some lightweight confetti paper. I have also die cut the cupcake from the Cupcake Pop-Up and placed it on the base that comes in the Explosion Pop-Up die set. I have added additional balloons and a sentiment from the  Word Set 2 and Word Set 7 die sets. I have also layers some die cuts from the Ovals-Crosshatch die set to allow a place for me to write a greeting.
